Mr. James Hugh Walker

Mr. James Hugh Walker is the Lead Articles Editor for the Ohio Northern University Law Review. Mr. Walker earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Georgia. While studying at the University of Georgia, he was Treasurer of Students in Free Enterprise (S.I.F.E.) and a member of the Ballroom Performance Group. Mr. Walker spent the summer of 2007 in Montpellier, France studying French literature and the history of the French region known as Le Midi.
Prior to law school, Mr. Walker worked in Sales and Business Development in the Technology Solutions Group of Hewlett-Packard Co. for its commercial market segment. He also worked for Xpress Global Systems, a subsidiary of U.S. Xpress, Inc., the fifth largest privately held logistics company in the U.S., developing its less-than-truckload business for the northeastern United States.
During the summer of 2011, Mr. Walker was a Summer Associate for R. Mansell McCord, Jr., Esq. in Atlanta, GA. He has also served as a Research Assistant to Professor Deidré A. Keller researching derivative works and fair use and as a Teaching Fellow for Legal Problem Solving and Analysis. He was an extern to the Honorable Mark L. Pietrykowski of the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals in Toledo, OH. Mr. Walker also worked as a Senior Research and Writing Assistant for Baldwin’s Ohio Practice: Tort Law 2d for the 2011 and 2012 Supplements. During the summer of 2012, Mr. Walker was the ONU Summer Scholar award recipient and worked with Professor John Martin researching the doctrine of fraud on a power of appointment with respect to trust protectors and decisions to decant. He is currently a law clerk for an Atlanta-based bankruptcy practice.
Mr. Walker is currently working on research in the area of electronic discovery.
