Summer Starter Orientation

Summer Orientation

The Office of Law Admissions is happy to help assist you in any way we can. Because of the breadth of information that flows through multiple offices, we will often direct you to the respective office with which you must deal directly. Scholarship, voucher, and any financial aid related questions must be handled through the Office of Financial Aid, whose web page is provided in a link below. Questions regarding move-in dates and registration for on-campus housing must be directed to the Office of Residence Life, whose web link is also provided below.

In order for any person other than the student to discuss details regarding housing, financial aid, etc. they must sign and submit the Privacy Disclosure Form (FERPA), which can be found here.  Please scan and email this form to lawadmissions@onu.edu or mail to the Office of Law Admissions.

Transcripts

Even though you have submitted transcripts to the Law School Data Assembly service, the University is required by its accrediting organization to have two (2) official transcripts from your degree-granted institution showing both the date and degree awarded. These certified copies must be sent directly from your undergraduate college or university. Please have your transcripts mailed to: Office of Law Admissions, Ohio Northern University, 525 South Main Street, Ada, OH 45810.  Students are not permitted to physically handle the transcripts at any part in the transfer process.  In addition, if you submitted your transcripts to LSAC/CAS before you completed your degree, you need to submit a final offical transctip to LSAC at the following address:  Law School Admission Council, 662 Penn Street, Newtown, PA 18940.  You can see if we have received your final official transcript(s) by logging into your Applicant Status Online (ASO) and checking the "Requirements List" section.

Memo To: L1's

  1. You should have funds in the $1200-$1500 range in your personal account to begin your first weeks at Ohio Northern University. Your loan refund checks, if utilized, will be available via refund check beginning June 5, 2017 (approximate date).
  2. Contact your undergraduate lenders to make sure that your loans are put into deferment status for your three years of attendance at ONU Law.
