JAUERT & BURTON LLP WLL INTERVIEW IN WAPAKONETA

Candidates: Rising L-2 students, graduating L-3 students or recent graduates who wish to live and practice civil law in or near Wapakoneta,OH permanently.

POSITION:   L-2 or L-3 students seeking full time permanent employment in Wapakoneta after graduation and passing the bar. L-3 students would begin employment after taking the 2014 Bar Exam. An L-2 student if chosen could work full time through the summer of 2014 and part time through 2014-2015 school year with plans on continuing full time after gradution in 2015..

Qualifications: JD achieved or in process. Software experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Candidate will be expected to create their own spreadsheets and perform much of their own word pro- cessing and administrative work. Description: Outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to join an established commercial law practice in and around Wapakoneta, Ohio. Senior partner is retiring fall 2014 and an experienced partner remains. Remaining partner also has an inactive CPA license, and is looking for someone to complement his skills, who likes to work with the law, as well as numbers. Immediate client contact. General civil practice, with focus on real estate, estate planning, business formation, income tax, and commercial, civil and domestic litigation. No criminal defense work. Partner has no interestin growing a criminal practice. This may be a full time or a permanent part time position depending upon the candidate's goals and desires. A law graduate who has, or will get an Ohio license to practice law in the fall of 2014, is preferred, but a law student would be considered for a law clerk position if the candidate has completed the L-1 class favorably. Keys are: candidate who wants to live in or around Wapakoneta, Ohio on a permanent basis, is a pragmatic problem solver, and who wants to learn to practice law. The position is paid and compensation is an amount competitive for a small town private law practice.
