When You Want To Hire An Associate or Clerk...
Ohio Northern University College of Law Career Services Office can assist you in your recruitment and hiring of:
full-time entry-level associates
lateral attorneys
judicial clerks
part-time law clerks
summer associates/clerks
Recruiting and hiring can be expensive and very time consuming. Our office can offer the following free services designed to support cost-effective and efficient hiring.
On-Campus Recruitment and Interview Programs
We host employers for an on-campus interview program (OCI) during both the fall and spring of every year. Employers can interview students in our modern, private interviewing facilities for part-time, summer, and full-time positions.
Resumes may be pre-screened by employers. Students' resumes will be selected according to the criteria established by employers and forwarded to the hiring partner, firm manager, or recruiting coordinator. Interview appointments will be scheduled to meet the employer's needs.
Job Postings / Resume Collection
For current law students, the College of Law maintains the Career Services web schedule of upcoming on-campus interviews and resume collections. Students are also sent e-mail reminders of upcoming deadlines. The online job posting website, LegalSift. provides job postings for both students and alumni from employers listing positions with ONU College of Law and other law colleges in Ohio. Employers who post can specify qualifications such as class rank, percentage of class, bar admission, salary and other criteria to meet their needs.
Not only do recent graduates and laterals search job announcements on-line through LegalSift, employers also can search candidates. Openings listed in LegalSift will be exchanged with law schools.
In response to a job posting or in preparation for on-campus interviewing, we can collect resumes and forward them to your office according to your specifications.
Employers exercising discriminatory hiring practices will be prohibited from using the services of Ohio Northern University's Office of Law Career Services.
