On Campus Interview Program Schedule
Email your materials as attachments to lawcareer@onu.edu in a Word document. Transcripts can be sent in a .jpg document or delivered hard copy by the student or the Registrar's Office.
The employer’s name and the attachments you are sending must be in the subject line of the email.
You will receive an email confirmation of your submission. If you do not receive a confirmation, call the Law Career Services Office at 419-772-2249.
Materials to email:
- Resume – One page long – proofread it carefully.
- Transcript - You must request an official transcript from the Registrar’s Office and then scan it into a pdf. If you need help scanning your transcript, our office can help you. Students can request an official transcript through Luminis.
- Writing Sample – 10-12 pages maximum length, can be printed double-sided on copy paper – choose something that represents your best work. Edit it and make any necessary changes before submitting. If the writing sample was written for an employer, make sure you have permission from the employer to use it and that you take out any information that the employer does not want made public.
- Cover Letter – should be addressed to the individual receiving your resume and targeted to that specific employer. It is suggested that you not begin every sentences with "I". If you are submitting your cover letter electronically, insert your signature. If you are mailing a hard copy cover letter, make sure you do not forget to sign your letter.
**All materials must be received on or before the deadline date.**
**On the day of the deadline, the materials must be received by 4:00 P.M. **
The materials will be submitted to the employer via email. Once we receive the list of candidates the employer would like to interview, we will contact you via email on whether you did or did not receive an interview.
Please be sure to check your email frequently during the OCI season for notifications.
