Completion of the concurrent JD/LL.M. degrees requires students to take 16 credit hours of LL.M. courses (two summer externships and two January Term courses). The balance of the credits is achieved through counting certain JD courses toward both the JD and the LLM. There is no separate scholarship program for the LL..M courses of the concurrent JD/LL.M. program. Most students enrolled in the program have substantial scholarships as part of the JD program, which are set upon acceptance to the JD program. More information about JD financial aid is available here.
The total additional cost of the 16 LL.M. credits in the 2013-14 academic year is about $17,000. Student loans are available for the summer and January terms, and some externship partners offer living stipends or housing for the summers.
