Pursuing your interest in the rule of law or considering a career change?
For those who already possess a JD and have a strong interest in promoting the rule of law and governance reforms around the world, the one-year LLM in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law at Ohio Northern University offers an exceptional opportunity. With its challenging and focused curriculum, the opportunity to study with young lawyers from around the world with similar interests in law and governance reform, and an overseas externship following the year of coursework, this program positions lawyers to begin a career in the international development sector.
The course offerings in international development and comparative law are taught by talented faculty members with decades of international experience in law and governance reform. Studying with the foreign lawyers in the international LLM program offers both great insights in to the issues facing transitional democracies and the opportunity to establish close personal relationships and develop contacts with future leaders of their countries.
