Each year ONU Law hosts an auction to raise money for students looking to secure internships and externships in the Public Interest Field.
The program featured a presentation on “Justifying Regulatory Takings” by Joseph William Singer, Bussey professor of law at Harvard Law School.
ONU Law presented the 38th annual Law Review Symposium, “New Solutions to Old Problems: A Practical Look At the Rebirth of Rehabilitation in the Criminal Justice System.” A panel of legal experts tackled different aspects of the U.S. rehabilitation system and discussed what can be done in the future to help in developing a more constructive criminal justice system.
Ameerah McBride, ONU JD' 13, Director of Equity and Affirmative Action at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, focussed on “Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 – Gender Specific.”
