Elizabeth Davenport wants to spend her life helping others. As a law student, she is involved in many pro bono activities and says her desire to help others is the reason why she wants to become a lawyer.
Elizabeth’s clinics during her time at ONU have given her the opportunity to show her passion beyond the classroom. “I feel that helping people who are less fortunate or in a difficult situation where they are unable to help themselves is a part of my ministry of helping and serving others,” she says. She worked for a variety of clinics to gain experience in the legal fields she is interested in and enjoyed the hands-on experience. Standing up in court and speaking on someone’s behalf is the reason why she came to law school.
During her time at ONU, Elizabeth has found award ceremonies, events on and off campus, and game nights to be some of her most memorable moments.
Someday, she’d like to start her own family law and juvenile criminal law firm. “At the end of the day, I am happy because I have reached my goal and purpose in life to help others, specifically in the domestic/family and criminal legal fields.”
