Recognition of Excellence
According to U.S. News & World Report, Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law has been ranked #136 out of 192 ABA-accredited law schools. Rankings are calculated by a variety of measures including median undergraduate GPAs and LSAT scores, admissions acceptance rate, bar passage success, job placement success, student-to-faculty ratio, assessment scores by peer law schools, lawyers and judges, and more.
In addition to being named one of the top-tier American law schools, U.S. News & World Report has ranked ONU Law for several programs and specialties, including:
Intellectual Property Law
ONU Law has also been recently recognized by other national publications. The Princeton Review has named ONU Law to their lists for “Best Law Schools” and “Most Competitive Students.” PreLaw Magazine has named ONU Law a “Best Law School for Practical Training” two years in a row, as well as one of the “Highest Performers” in the 2018 Employment Honor Roll. Additionally, according to Law School Transparency, ONU Law places lowest on the list for “Projected Debt Owed at First Loan Payment” among private law schools, which means students have much less debt after graduating from ONU Law.
In addition to these accolades, ONU Law graduates are continuously recognized for excellent outcomes, including bar passage and job placement success. The Class of 2017 ranked 3rd among Ohio’s nine law schools for bar passage-required job placement with a 71 percent placement rate.
