Judge Reginald J. Routson

Adjunct Professor of Law
Court of Common Pleas, Findlay, Ohio

Reginald J. Routson has served as a judge in the Hancock county Common Pleas Court since 1998. From 1988 to 1998, he was the judge of the Findlay Municipal Court. He has been an adjunct professor of law at Ohio Northern University College of Law since 1986.

Chief Justice Maureen O'connor recently appointed Routson to the newly formed Task Force on the Funding of Ohio Courts. Throughout his career, he has served in many leadership roles in the judiciary, including as president of the Ohio Common Please Judges Association, vice chair of the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission, chair of the Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College Board of Trustees, and member of the Ohio Jury Instructions Committee. Routson is a graduate of the Judicial Leadership Institute and a frequent faculty member for the Ohio Jury  Management Association. He was honored with the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Toledo law school. Routson received his JD from the University of Toledo College of Law and holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Bowling Green State University.
