Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law will host Meet the Author: Professor David Crago on Wednesday, May 1, from 4:30 – 6 p.m. in Tilton Hall’s Informal Student Lounge. Light refreshments will be served.
Professor Crago’s book, The Creation of a Crusader, details the life of Senator Thomas Morris, a man whose vocal abolition advocacy was at odds with his political party. This ultimately caused him to lose reelection to the Senate and be ousted from the Democratic Party. Despite this, his constitutional theories became the core of political anti-slavery thought.
Professor Crago has served in a variety of roles at Ohio Northern University, including as Dean of the College of Law and as Provost/Vice President of the University. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the College of Law. David and his wife now live in Montana.
