Housing Options

On and Off Campus

Ohio Northern University and the village of Ada offer many housing options for students. On-campus apartment complexes are available for law and graduate students looking for the convenience of campus living. There are also many off-campus apartments, houses and duplexes available for rent and purchase, all within walking distance of the college.

ON-CAMPUS UNIVERSITY HOUSING

ONU offers on-campus housing for students who seek the convenience of campus life. On-campus housing is coordinated by the University's Office of Residence Life. Courtyard Apartments are furnished two-person apartments featuring a shared common room with a kitchen and a private bedroom.  Meal plans can be purchased for use at all University dining facilities. There are a limited number of spots available for law students on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please contact the ONU Residence Life office.

Register for on-campus housing by logging in to Self-Service Banner using your ONU username and password. Your "My Housing" account is your portal to your room assignment, roommate information and meal plan.

Summer Starter Students – Students enrolled in the Summer Starter Program will be able to register for housing once they submit their seat deposit and receive their usename and login information from the Office of Law Admissions. Students will use their ONU username and password to complete the housing application.  

Fall Students – Students beginning in the fall semester will be able to register for on-campus housing once they submit their second seat deposit and receive receive their usename and login information from the Office of Law Admissions. Students will use their ONU username and password to complete the housing application.   

Apartment Amenities

  • Two networked computer outlets per room
  • Three to five electrical outlets
  • ONU cable-television service in all rooms
  • Wall-to-wall carpeting
  • Extra-long twin beds (loftable units provided)
  • Desk, desk chair, shelving, towel rack, mirror and closet in all rooms
  • Overhead lighting
Apartments include kitchens with:
  • Refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, disposal, and counter or small table with two chairs
Apartments include living room with:
  • Couch, chair, and two end tables

OFF-CAMPUS NON-UNIVERSITY HOUSING

The 2020 Off-Campus Landlord List will be updated in January. 

The village of Ada provides inexpensive off-campus housing and a low cost of living far below national averages. Monthly rental fees can range from $300 to $650 depending on décor, location, and whether the student is living alone or with a roommate. Many rental locations are within walking distance of the College of Law, restaurants and other shops along Main Street in Ada.
