The Rural Practice Clinic extends the ONU Legal Clinic's reach into more of the rural Northwest Ohio communities ONU Law calls home. Building on the clinic's long-standing work in the region, students provide hands-on legal help to income-eligible residents across an expanding service area, working directly with clients on the kinds of matters that shape everyday life — family law, housing, small business, and more. Students work alongside newly licensed Attorney Fellows and experienced supervising attorneys, gaining real-client experience while helping bring greater legal access to more of the counties ONU Law serves.
This expansion is made possible through Lawyers = Justice: A Northwest Ohio Legal Collaborative, a partnership between ONU Law, Toledo Law, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Foundation.
ONU Law will serve income-eligible residents in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.
