Congratulations to ONU Law Professor Beau Baez on the release of his new book entitled Law School Success: Advice from a Law Professor.
The book is a must read for law students, or those thinking about entering law school. “Many enter law school unsure what to expect, and few have all the skills necessary to succeed,” says Professor Baez. “This book focuses on helping law students develop new and essential law school skills.”
There are cases, model case briefs, and an explanation on how to use the FIRAC (Facts, Issue, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion) case briefing method. It also includes different types of sample law school exams to help students understand what they will face during their first year of law school. The book is based on scientific-based learning and includes stories of those who overcame their initial obstacles.
After one day on Amazon, the book came in at No. 1 on the list of new releases in Law School Guides.
Professor Baez joined the ONU faculty as a tax professor in 2022 and is a well-known YouTube personality. His videos have been viewed 4 million times. Like the book, the channel focuses on helping students understand the skills they need to succeed in law school.
Prior to coming to Ada, he taught at a number of different law schools and has worked one-on-one with students from law schools across the country, helping them improve their skills before and during law school.
