Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law continues to earn national recognition for the strength of its trial advocacy program, securing a Top 40 ranking in the latest release from U.S. News & World Report.
The College of Law is also proud to remain among the very top programs in the state for trial advocacy—reinforcing its position as a leader in experiential legal education within the region.
“Being consistently recognized among the nation’s top trial advocacy programs speaks to the quality of our students, faculty, and hands-on training opportunities,” says Donald Anderson, Trial Advocacy Director. “Our program continues to prepare graduates to excel in the courtroom from day one.”
He adds, “The recognition further strengthens the College of Law’s standing as a destination for aspiring litigators seeking a competitive edge.”
ONU Law’s advocacy program is built on a strong foundation of practical experience, including mock trial competitions, courtroom simulations, and close faculty mentorship—hallmarks that continue to distinguish it nationally. “Students regularly go head-to-head with top law schools nationwide, building the confidence and skillset demanded by today’s legal profession,” says Anderson.
This sustained national recognition highlights the College of Law’s ongoing commitment to producing practice-ready attorneys and delivering a rigorous, skills-based legal education.
