From statutory codes and court opinions to niche legal treatises, study aids to cutting-edge legal databases, the Taggart Law Library’s collection has everything you need to succeed in law school. With access to hundreds of thousands of print and electronic publications, including dozens of online tools and databases, the resources you need will always be in reach.
Beyond providing access to resources, the law library offers an array of reference services to help strengthen your research skills and prepare you for your legal career. Our reference librarians are here to help you find the resources you need to research a legal issue and to write briefs, memos and seminar papers. Additionally, the law library provides workshops and instruction sessions in conjunction with many ONU Law courses.
The David C. Crago Rare Book Room houses an impressive collection of rare legal materials with strengths including early American and British legal treatises and significant Roman and canon law titles. The Rare Book Room is also home to the library’s special collections, including signed editions, faculty publications, and even the private book collection of Jay P. Taggart himself. Additionally, the Celebrezze Archives Room preserves the personal papers and artifacts of notable ONU Law alumnus Anthony J. Celebrezze.
