Third District Court of Appeals Hears Oral Arguments at ONU Law
The Third District Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments at Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5th in Tilton Hall, Room 129. Judge John R. Willamowski, JD, '85 will serve as Presiding Judge. The public is invited to attend.
Two cases will be heard including one criminal case, Marion County No. 9-23-25: State of Ohio v. Gerry L. Moore, Sr. and one civil case, Allen County Case No. 1-23-33: Jane Doe, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated v. Lima Memorial Hospital, et al.

The event also coincides with ONU Homecoming weekend, where a number of events have been planned campus wide.

We ask you please wear your cap and gown, and bring your hood with you. Please note: You may NOT wear additional cords, sashes, etc. during the ceremony.
8:30 AM - Doors open. Guests should arrive by 9:00 AM, and should be seated by 9:30 AM.
9:20 AM - Graduating students assemble for the processional.

Former ONU Law Associate Dean Deidre Keller Returns as Kormendy Lecture Speaker
Former ONU Law Associate Dean Deidre Keller will return to Ada on Friday, March 10th as keynote speaker for the annual Kormendy Lecture. She will address copyright issues for recording of classes. Keller currently serves as Dean at Florida A & M University (FAMU) College of Law.
The event will be held in Tilton Hall, Room 129 beginning at 11 a.m.

State of Ohio v. Ziair Green
In this criminal case defendant Ziair Green is asserting several assignments of error arising from his convictions for felonious assault and felony murder with firearm specifications. Green fatally shot his ex-stepfather after a domestic violence incident involving Green's mother.
