After graduating from ONU Law, he attended New York University School of Law to receive his Master of Laws (LLM) in taxation. Now, he is an associate at Squire Patton Boggs in Columbus, Ohio, focusing his practice on community development and real estate tax credit finance.

Tyler Watson

Throughout the highs and lows of law school, Tyler Watson, JD ‘19, never lost sight of her goal to pass the Ohio Bar Exam, and she credits her success primarily to the rigorous bar preparation she received at ONU Law.

From the very beginning, Tyler was guided by a supportive academic success team of advisors and professors. They helped her develop study methods that were more productive and effective, and they advised her on courses to take geared specifically toward preparing her for the Ohio Bar Exam.

Evan Thorstad

Evan Thorstad first learned about ONU Law when he was still an undergraduate at Ball State University, and after applying and being accepted, his first visit to campus made it clear that the path to his future led to Ada, Ohio.

“I chose to come to ONU Law because of the small, close-knit community that ONU and Ada, Ohio, had to offer. Coming from Ball State, I knew that in law school I would need to be in an environment that would promote my ability to learn without too many distractions, which is exactly what ONU had to offer,” he says.
